Accessibility

Accessibility target: the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. Every page of this site is built with that standard in mind, from its text to its forms.

Accessibility features

We have:

  • used real text rather than pictures of text;
  • made layouts that work on phones and when zoomed;
  • added alt text to photos;
  • labeled every form field and made error messages easy to follow;
  • kept headings in a logical order;
  • written link and button text that explains itself;
  • checked colors for sufficient contrast;
  • made every control usable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.

How it is tested

How we check: automated testing across the whole site, plus a check of every page on desktop-sized and phone-sized screens, each time before a change is put online.

Known limits

Known limits: alt text describes the main point of each photo, not every detail. Apart from that, if a page, a link or a form fails you, please treat it as a bug that needs fixing.
